The materials
Medical-grade silicone over an ABS core. Non-porous, phthalate free, latex free and odourless from the first use. Cheaper wands use TPE, which is porous and holds bacteria — the difference between something you can properly clean and something you can only rinse.
The range
Eight speeds and six patterns. Speed one is gentle enough to start through fabric, and the top end is firm enough to double as a neck and shoulder massager. The range is there so it grows with you rather than starting where you need to end up.
Power and cleaning
Ninety minutes of continuous use from a two hour charge over magnetic USB-C, which is two to three weeks of normal use between charges. IPX7 waterproof means fully submersible rather than splash resistant: warm water, unscented soap, rinse, air dry.

45 dB on the lowest setting and 52 dB at maximum. A quiet conversation sits around 60 dB, so it stays under normal speech even flat out. Held against a mattress it's quieter again, because the silicone body absorbs most of the motor noise.

Is it too strong for a first wand?
Speeds one and two are gentle enough to start through fabric, which is what we'd suggest for a first time. Nothing about the range forces you higher than you want to go.
